UP Sets Record with 37 Crore Tree Plantation Drive Led by CM Yogi

On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh made a new record. A big tree plantation drive was held all over the state. It was called “Mega Plantation Campaign.” In this campaign, 37 crore 21 lakh 40 thousand 925 trees were planted. This number is more than the goal. The goal was to plant 37 crore trees, but the people planted 21 lakh more trees than the goal. This is a big success in saving the environment in Uttar Pradesh.

The campaign was launched by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Ayodhya. He planted three trees near the Saryu river in a place called Triveni Vatika in Rampur Halwara. These trees were Banyan, Neem, and Peepal. This campaign was launched with the message, “One Tree in the Name of Mother.” This means that every person should plant a tree in the name of their mother.

CM Yogi said that the trees he planted were dedicated to Lord Ram, Mother Earth, and his mother, who gave him birth. After that, he went to Azamgarh. There, he planted more trees on the side of the expressway in a place called Harishankari Vatika in the Sathiyav block. Then, he went to Gorakhpur and planted trees inside a food factory campus.

In a public gathering near Dashrath Path in Solar City, Ayodhya, the CM said that Uttar Pradesh has set a big example in saving the environment in the last 8 years. He said that in 2017, there were only 5 crore plants in the state’s nurseries. But now, there are 52 crore plants in the nurseries. This shows that the government has worked very hard in the last few years.

Since 2017, a total of 204 crore trees have been planted across Uttar Pradesh. Out of these, 75 percent of the trees are still alive. This is a very good thing because many trees die if not taken care of. But in UP, most of the trees are alive. This has been made possible by the efforts of the people, officials, and the government.

Because of these trees, the forest area has increased a lot. Around 5 lakh acres of land have become green with trees. The land which was empty before, now has trees and forests. Due to this, animals and birds get shelter, and the air becomes clean. Now, Uttar Pradesh is the second top state in India in planting trees. This is a proud moment for all people of the state.

CM Yogi also said that tree plantation helps us in many ways. Trees provide us with oxygen, fresh air, and cool shade. Trees also help in controlling pollution and heat. When there are more trees, there is more rain, too. So, planting trees is very good for health and the Earth.

The CM gave a message to everyone that everyone should plant at least one tree in their life. If everyone plants one tree, then our Earth will become green and clean. He also said that children should learn about the importance of trees in schools. They should know how trees help us and why we should protect them.

In the Harishankari Vatika, three special trees were planted together—Neem, Peepal, and Banyan. When these three trees are planted together, they are called “Harishankari.” These trees are very important in Indian culture. They live long, give shade, and make the air fresh.

The “One Tree in Mother’s Name” message was loved by many people. It is an emotional and beautiful idea. When someone plants a tree in the name of their mother, they feel love and responsibility. It also makes them feel proud. This idea will help more people join the campaign.

This campaign was not just done by the government. Many people helped with it. Teachers, students, farmers, officers, police, army men, and many other departments took part in planting trees. Everyone worked together and made this campaign a big success.

This campaign also helps in water conservation. When more trees are planted, water stays in the ground. It helps in keeping rivers and ponds full. So, trees help in saving water too.

CM Yogi also said that they want to plant more trees in the coming years. This is not the end. It is just the beginning. They will continue working for the environment. They will teach students about trees and how to take care of them.

This campaign has now become a model for the whole country. Other states in India may also learn from Uttar Pradesh. If every state works like this, India will become very green and clean.

This campaign can also get a world record. The government is trying to get this plantation number in the Guinness Book of World Records. If this happens, then it will be a very proud moment for India.

This shows that when people and the government work together, anything is possible. It is not an easy task to plant 37 crore trees in a single day. It needs planning, support, and teamwork. Uttar Pradesh has shown the power of unity and care for nature.

In short, this is a big step for the environment. Uttar Pradesh has done something that will help nature, animals, and humans, too. This green work will help in the future. It will give fresh air, a better climate, and a beautiful Earth.

This tree plantation campaign is a gift for the coming generations. It will make their life better. This achievement proves that when we care for nature, nature cares for us in return. Let us all promise to plant trees and protect them. Let us make the Earth green again. Uttar Pradesh has taken the first step. Now, it is our turn to follow and keep planting trees for a better future.
