Home-Based Education for Severely Disabled Children in Uttar Pradesh

In a significant step towards inclusive education, the Uttar Pradesh government has launched a new program for children with severe disabilities. For buying the materials, the government has made an online system called the GeM portal. All items will be purchased from this portal to ensure transparency. The government has already given a list of all allowed materials. Officers can only buy items from this list. These include books, stationery, and other educational tools.

The special teachers will make a list of what materials each child needs. They will submit this list to the District Basic Education Officer (BSA). Once the materials are ready, they will be given to each child. A special register will be maintained in every district. This register will keep a record of what material was given to which student.

The whole process is being monitored by the state-level nodal officers. Rajya Pariyojana Nideshak Atma Ram Singh has clearly said that this task must be done without any mistakes. He has asked all District Basic Education Officers to finish the material distribution by 20 August 2025. They must also upload reports on the Manav Sampada portal, the official record-keeping platform of the education department.

This new system will ensure that no disabled child is left behind. Children who were not able to go to school will now be able to learn from the comfort of their homes. It is a big step towards equal education for all. The government is also making sure that there is no corruption or carelessness. All reports will be checked, and strict action will be taken against those who fail in their duties.

In Uttar Pradesh, many primary schools are getting merged due to low student enrollment. When two nearby government schools are merged, one of them becomes vacant. The government has now decided to use these empty schools in a useful way. All such empty school buildings will now have Anganwadi centers. This decision was made by the Chief Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, Ms. Leena Johri. She has sent clear instructions to all district officers.

The Anganwadi centers that are located within 500 meters of these empty schools will be shifted to these school campuses. These schools will now work as new learning places for small children between the ages of 3 and 6. These children will get pre-primary education, just like in a playschool. This new classroom setup is called Bal Vatika. It is being done under the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) program.

Children will be taught in a fun and easy way using games, stories, songs, and colorful pictures. The education will not be too hard for them. The classes will help children to become ready for big school in the future. These small kids will get used to the school building, classrooms, and teachers. So, when they move to primary school, they will feel comfortable.

Each Bal Vatika class will be managed by two types of teachers. First are Anganwadi workers who are already trained to teach small children. Second are ECCE educators who will be hired on contract. The process to hire 8,800 ECCE educators has already started. These new teachers will be posted in different districts and will be selected by the Basic Education Officers (BSA).

The government has started working fast on this plan. First, they merged many nearby primary and upper primary schools. Now, they are working to shift Anganwadi centers to these empty school buildings. After a physical check of the school campus, the Anganwadi centers will move there. Once this is done, the classes for 3 to 6-year-old children will begin.

Experts say this is a very good decision. If small children stay in the same school building where they will later study in classes 1 and 2, they will feel happy and confident. UP Govt Launches Cricket Training in 100 Schools with The Right Pitch

 

In Uttar Pradesh, a new program is being started to help children leave their mobile phones and come back to the playground. The cricket trainers from The Right Pitch will come to the schools and teach the students the basics and techniques of cricket. The students will learn how to bat, bowl, field, and follow the rules of the game.

The founder and director of The Right Pitch, Mr. Shubhankar Pal, said that the full program will officially begin on August 4. On this day, training will start in schools with proper arrangements. The trainers will be experts and will teach the children with care and fun.

On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh made a new record. A big tree plantation drive was held all over the state. It was called “Mega Plantation Campaign.” In this campaign, 37 crore 21 lakh 40 thousand 925 trees were planted. This number is more than the goal. The campaign was launched by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Ayodhya. He planted three trees near the Saryu river in a place called Triveni Vatika in Rampur Halwara. These trees were Banyan, Neem, and Peepal. This campaign was launched with the message, “One Tree in the Name of Mother.” This means that every person should plant a tree in the name of their mother.

CM Yogi said that the trees he planted were dedicated to Lord Ram, Mother Earth, and his mother, who gave him birth. After that, he went to Azamgarh. There, he planted more trees on the side of the expressway in a place called Harishankari Vatika in the Sathiyav block. Then, he went to Gorakhpur and planted trees inside a food factory campus.

In a public gathering near Dashrath Path in Solar City, Ayodhya, the CM said that Uttar Pradesh has set a big example in saving the environment in the last 8 years. He said that in 2017, there were only 5 crore plants in the state’s nurseries. But now, there are 52 crore plants in the nurseries. This shows that the government has worked very hard in the last few years.

Since 2017, a total of 204 crore trees have been planted across Uttar Pradesh. Out of these, 75 percent of the trees are still alive. This is a very good thing because many trees die if not taken care of. But in UP, most of the trees are alive. This has been made possible by the efforts of the people, officials, and the government.

Because of these trees, the forest area has increased a lot. Around 5 lakh acres of land have become green with trees. The land which was empty before, now has trees and forests. Due to this, animals and birds get shelter, and the air becomes clean. Now, Uttar Pradesh is the second top state in India in planting trees. This is a proud moment for all people of the state.
